　　Guangsha Group is a diversified large modern corporation with Guangsha Holding Venture Capital Co. Ltd as its core enterprise.
　　Traditionally, construction and real estate have been the two leading industries of Guangsha Group. In recent years, in order to diversify the business, Guangsha has expanded into areas like media, energy sources, finance, tourism, hotel, hydropower, education, medical care, etc.
　　The group now has more than 50,000 staff members and total assets of RMB 16.7 billion. It is one of the top 100 corporations in China and ranked number 6 among the top 50 private corporations of China. Guangsha has been ranked first among the top 50 private corporations in Zhejiang Province two years in a row (2003 and 2004). It is one of the 26 large enterprises that were specifically selected for development experiment by the government of Zhejiang Province.
　　There are now more than 80 subsidiary companies under Guangsha Group, among which, Zhejiang Guangsha Co. Ltd went public in 1997 on the Shanghai stock exchange (the first construction corporation listed under the recommendation of the Ministry of Construction). The corporation and its industries are spread all over Mainland China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, South America, and so on.

·Construction
　　Guangsha is one of the 49 enterprises first recommended by the Construction Ministry of China. It has earned the National special-class certificate for general construction contracts and more than 10 first-class certificates for overall contracting of building decoration, mechanical and electronic installations, garden and historical building construction, and civil engineering projects, with annual construction capacity exceeding 15 million square metres. Guangsha adheres to capital and technology-centred management with “ Mega Construction” and “ Mega Development” as its strategy.

·Real Estate
　　Guangsha has invested more than US$3 billion into real estate, with an annual development capacity of more than 3 million square metres. It integrates the concept of “ enterprises managing the city” into real estate development. As a pioneer of Chinese enterprises constructing satellite towns, it is among the top 50 for the year 2004.

·Media
　　Guangsha media involves development of and investment in newspaper, publishing, production and promotion of films and TV series, printing, advertisements, commercial performances, TV programmes and other cultural industries.

·Hotel
 　　Guangsha has nine graded hotels and travel agencies, namely Hangzhou Overseas Chinese Hotel, Hangzhou Shining Hotel, Dongyang Shining Hotel, Dongyang Building, Dongyang Overseas Chinese Hotel, Hangzhou Overseas Travel Agency, Hangzhou Four Season Entertainment Park, Jinhua Tourism and Development Co. Ltd, and Hangzhou 1917 Exclusive Club, which are under the management of Zhejiang Shining Hotel Management Co. Ltd.

·Energy sources
　　The leading industries of Guangsha’s Energy Sources are the import and export of petroleum and petroleum products, storage, construction of deep water wharf, hydropower, and so on. The Group has Zhejiang Guangsha Hydropower Development Co. Ltd and Guangsha Zhoushan Energy Sources Group. Zhejiang Guangsha Hydropower Development Co. Ltd has finished the construction or is constructing 6 hydropower stations with a total capacity of 300,000 Kilowatt.

·Finance
　　Guangsha is one of the big shareholders of Zheshang Bank and Jinhua Trust and Investment Co. Ltd. Zhejiang Guangsha Holdings Co. Ltd is the first construction company to be listed, and its shares were officially into the market on the 15th of April 1997 on the Shanghai stock exchange (company code 600052)

·Education
　　Guangsha College of Applied Construction Technology is a tertiary institute approved by the Ministry of Education providing full time courses. It has now more than 10,000 students enrolled.

·Medical Care
　　Jinhua Guangfu Hospital is a comprehensive hospital invested by Guangsha with its advanced technology for treating tumours. Guangsha has also invested in health care and rest home services.
